This site is served by GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). When you visit it, GitHub processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, in server log files. No cookies, no tracking
This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools and loads no fonts or scripts from third parties.
If you choose light or dark mode with the switch in the header, your
browser remembers that choice in its local storage (localStorage,
entry sqp-theme). It does not leave your computer and can be
removed with your browser's site data.
PDF preview from Zenodo
Entry pages can show a PDF preview. It is loaded only when you click "Show PDF preview". Your browser then connects to zenodo.org (operated by CERN) and transmits, among other things, your IP address. The legal basis is your consent given by the click (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Map
The map of event places is drawn from data on this site (Leaflet, borders from Natural Earth). Only when you switch on the OpenStreetMap background does your browser load map tiles from tile.openstreetmap.org (OpenStreetMap Foundation, United Kingdom), transmitting, among other things, your IP address. The legal basis is your consent given by the click (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); switching it off stops further loading.
Search and SPARQL queries
Search and SPARQL queries run entirely in your browser. Every file they need (search index, Python runtime, graphs) comes from this site; what you type is neither transmitted nor stored.

Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
